½ & ½ Combination
This program offers 5 levels of instruction for boys and girls age
3-8. Ballet, Tap, and Tumbling are offered to ½ & ½ Pre-I, ½ & ½ I, and ½ & ½ II (age 3, 4, and 5). Ballet and
Tap are offered to ½ & ½ III (age 6), and Tap, and Jazz are offered to ½ & ½ IV (age 7 & 8). It is recommended
for students in level IV also take Pre-Ballet. Very basic beginning instruction is learned increasing difficulty each
year. Children also learn cooperation and classroom etiquette, along with developing life-long friendships.
Acrobatics
This program is offered to boys and girls age 5 years through high
school. Students will learn proper stretching and strengthening techniques to accomplish skills parallel to gymnastic floor
exercise. Tumbling passes include cartwheels and walkovers, to advanced stunts such as, handsprings, tucks, and aerial work.
Advanced students are invited to participate in Jr. Advanced and Sr. Advanced level classes.
Tap
This program is offered to boys and girls age 8 years through adult.
All styles of tap dancing will be taught including Buck & Wing, Soft Shoe, and Waltz, to name a few. Many rhythms are
learned in this percussion dance form. Tap dancing enhances rhythms and dynamics in Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Modern class.
Jazz
This program is offered to boys and girls age 8 years through adult.
Jazz technique is stressed through Classical, Broadway or Musical Theatre, and Funk styles. Students are encouraged to include
Ballet classes along with their Jazz class to get the most of their Jazz training.
Hip Hop
This program is offered to boys and girls age 8 years through
adult. Many styles of Hip Hop are reviewed. Students are encouraged to include Jazz classes along with their Hip Hop
class to get the most of their Hip Hop training.
Modern
This program is offered to boys and girls age 10 years through adult.
Various styles of Modern will be incorporated. Students will learn to move through space, create many shapes, transfer weight
and defy gravity through lifts, jumps, and leaps. It is recommended that students have Ballet or Jazz training prior to Modern.
Pre-Ballet
This program is offered to boys and girls age 5-7 including two
levels. Level I: age 5-6, Level II: age 6-7. Students learn beginning fundamentals of Ballet technique including proper alignment,
positions, and basic terminology. Coordination, direction, and classroom etiquette are learned through fun activities at the
barre, center floor and across the floor to prepare for Ballet I.
Ballet
This program is offered to boys and girls age 8 years through adult.
Students can choose to follow a vigorous training program parallel to a professional program, or a program to enhance other
forms of dance or acrobatics. Eight levels of graded ballet technique is carefully taught. Much emphasis on proper placement,
alignment, port de bras, epaulement, and strength is given. Students are evaluated to extend their training en pointe, by
invitation only. NEW THIS YEAR....PRE-PROFESSIONAL
PROGRAM Pre-Professional
Program offered to students in level 4 and above. Students will take multiple level classes everyday along with Pointe
and Variations. Pas de Deux will be available as permitted. Students will learn the "how to's" of the Professional
World of Ballet. Students will be encouraged to audition for Professional Companies during their Senior year of High
School.
Pas de Deux
Students will learn the art of partnering. Ballet students currently enrolled in level III through
VIII are invited to participate. Basic partnering principles will be taught. Guest teachers may be invited to
give class periodically.

Other Programs
Competition Team
A competition team is available for our very competitive students. Students are accepted onto the team through
audition and compete at local, regional, and national competitions. Students learn responsibility, dedication, and to be reliable
to other team members. Team members can compete as soloists, as duets or trios, or as group members. Fundraising activities
through the Parents Association help defray the costs of the competition team.
Student Teaching
A student teacher program is offered for our ambitious students interested in pursuing the teaching field
of dance. Students may sign up for the program at age 12. Many activities and projects are completed through the year. Each
student must student teach a scheduled class appointed to them and keep a journal pertaining to their class.
DANCEcamp
Lowe Dance Studio offers a one week program for students age 3-10 years old. Students will enjoy learning
Ballet, Tap, and Jazz through classroom study, creating crafts, viewing videos, and playing games. Program varies in length
according to age and level of student.
Annual Recital
The annual dance recital is held in June. All students are eligible to perform in the dance recital. However,
to be in the dance recital is not mandatory. Students may choose to participate on the stage or in the audience. Each student
must follow all rules to perform in the recital if he/she has chosen to participate.

Voorhees Ballet Theatre

Danse Ensemble
The Voorhees Ballet Theatre Danse Ensemble is the performing company
of Lowe Dance Studio. Students audition to be accepted into the program. The Danse Ensemble is divided into three performing
groups: The Petite Ensemble, The Junior Ensemble, and The Senior Ensemble. Each year the Ballet Theatre produces two major
productions including The Nutcracker and Spring production. Students are given the opportunity to perform in Ballets such
as, Cinderella, Don Quixote, Firebird, Hansel & Gretel, Coppelia, and many more. The Danse Ensemble also performs in many

Summer Program
The Voorhees Ballet Theatre offers a summer intensive program held at
Lowe Dance Studio for students interested in refining their technique. A three week program is offered to students age
8 years old through high school, including Ballet, Pointe, Variations, Pas de Deux, Jazz, Tap, Modern, and Dance History.
Students completing three weeks of the program are invited to perform in The Workshop Performance at the conclusion of
the program.
